This unit procedure simulates spray drying, which is common in the food and biochemical industries. Spray drying is preferred for heat sensitive products that require short drying times and relatively low contact temperatures.
● Feed: the designated input port for the wet feed stream.
● Gas Inlet: the designated input port for the drying gas stream.
● Gas Outlet: the designated output port for the drying gas stream.
● Product: the designated output port for the dried product stream.
The following operation types are currently supported in the context of this unit procedure:

● Hold, see Holding
● SIP, see Steam-In-Place (SIP)
Note that operations CIP, Hold, and SIP are only available in semi-continuous operating mode.
