This unit procedures simulates the performance of a Fluid Bed Dryer. Fluid bed dryers are preferred when short drying times are necessary.
● Feed: the designated input port for the wet feed stream.
● Gas Inlet: the designated input port for the drying gas stream.
● Gas Outlet: the designated output port for the drying gas stream.
● Product: the designated output port for the dried product stream.
The following operation types are currently supported in the context of this unit procedure:
● Dry, see Fluid Bed Drying
● CIP, see Clean-In-Place (CIP)
● Hold, see Holding
● SIP, see Steam-In-Place (SIP)
Note that operations CIP, Hold, and SIP are only available in semi-continuous operating mode.
