Fluid Bed Drying Procedure

A Fluid Bed Drying Procedure can be created by selecting the following menu option:
Unit Procedures } Drying/Granulation } Fluid Bed

	Operating Mode	Continuous or Semi-Continuous
	Host Equipment	Fluid Bed Dryer
	Emissions Port (Vent)	No
	Special Input/Output Ports	Yes

This unit procedures simulates the performance of a Fluid Bed Dryer. Fluid bed dryers are preferred when short drying times are necessary.

● Feed: the designated input port for the wet feed stream.

● Gas Inlet: the designated input port for the drying gas stream.

● Gas Outlet: the designated output port for the drying gas stream.

● Product: the designated output port for the dried product stream.

The following operation types are currently supported in the context of this unit procedure:

Note that operations CIP, Hold, and SIP are only available in semi-continuous operating mode.
