Flotation Procedure

Overview

A Flotation Procedure can be created by selecting the following menu option:
Unit Procedures } Sedimentation } Flotation

	Operating Mode	Continuous or Semi-Continuous
	Host Equipment	Flotation Tank
	Emissions Port (Vent)	Yes
	Special Input/Output Ports	Yes

This unit procedure simulates a dissolved-air flotation tank that separates suspended solid or oil globules from a continuous liquid phase.

Special Inputs / Outputs

●      Floated Material: the designated output port for floated material.

●      Clarified Material: the designated output port for clarified material.

Operations

The following operation types are currently supported in the context of this unit procedure:

●      Flotate, see Flotation

●      Hold, see Holding

Note that procedure Hold is only available in semi-continuous operating mode.
