Heat Sterilization Procedure

Overview

A Heat Sterilization Procedure can be created by selecting the following menu option:
Unit Procedures } Heat Exchange } Heat Sterilization

	Operating Mode	Continuous or Semi-Continuous
	Host Equipment	Heat Sterilizer
	Emissions Port (Vent)	No
	Special Input/Output Ports	No

This unit procedure handles death kinetics and simulates a continuous heat sterilizer. Plug flow and axial dispersion models are available.

None.

Operations

The following operation types are currently supported in the context of this unit procedure:

●      Sterilize, see Heat Sterilization

●      CIP, see Clean-In-Place (CIP)

●      Hold, see Holding

●      SIP, see Steam-In-Place (SIP)

Note that operations CIP, Hold, and SIP are only available in semi-continuous operating mode.
