Heating Procedure

Overview

A Heating Procedure can be created by selecting the following menu option:
Unit Procedures } Heat Exchange } Heating

	Operating Mode	Continuous or Semi-Continuous
	Host Equipment	Heater
	Emissions Port (Vent)	No
	Special Input/Output Ports	No

This unit procedure models the increase in temperature (heating) of a continuous flow or batch stream.

Special Inputs / Outputs

None.

Operations

The following operation types are currently supported in the context of this unit procedure:

●      Heat, see Heating

●      CIP, see Clean-In-Place (CIP)

●      Hold, see Holding

●      SIP, see Steam-In-Place (SIP)

Note that operations CIP, Hold, and SIP are only available in semi-continuous operating mode.
