This tab is part of the Equipment Spec Sheet Properties Dialog which is displayed when you choose to view or edit the properties of a selected equipment spec sheet in the Equipment Spec Sheets Databank Dialog, and also after you click OK on the New Equipment Spec Sheet Dialog.
Through this interface you can view/edit the following equipment spec sheet data:
● Part/Model No. (has to be non-empty and unique) (note that vendors typically use part numbers, whereas manufacturers typically use model numbers).
● Equipment Type (not editable).
● Description.
● Supplier (vendor or manufacturer) (not editable) and supplier info (see Supplier Info button).
● Material of construction (choices include materials registered in the Designer and User databases).
● Manufacturer and manufacturer’s Model No. (optional; available only if the supplier is a vendor).
● Equipment Specifications (the list includes system and user-defined specification variables that are available for the equipment’s type).
Clicking on the Supplier Info button will bring up the Equipment Supplier Properties Dialog: Identification tab for the selected supplier, which displays information about that supplier.
If the equipment spec sheet is from a vendor, then this tab will include the option to link the vendor’s equipment spec sheet to a manufacturer’s equipment spec sheet in order to get the specifications for the vendor’s equipment spec sheet directly from the manufacturer’s equipment spec sheet. In that case, this tab will also include ‘Manufacturer’ and ‘Model No.’ fields and a Manufacturer Info button. Clicking on the Manufacturer Info button will bring up the Equipment Supplier Properties Dialog: Identification tab for the selected manufacturer, which displays information about that manufacturer.
