This operation simulates a membrane sanitization step in flow-through and bind-and-elute chromatographies during which any contaminants in the MA are removed. The main objective of this operation is to determine bufffer consumption. Any change that may occur in the membrane’s retained mass (such as the removal of contaminants) during this step is ignored.
