This operation simulates a membrane equilibration step in flow-through and bind-and-elute chromatographies. This step includes actions that prepare the membrane for loading such as buffer replacement, adjustment of pH, etc. The main objective of this operation is to determine bufffer consumption. Any change that may occur in the membrane’s retained mass during this step is ignored.
