pH Regulation Procedure

Overview

A Custom Mixing Procedure can be created by selecting the following menu option:
Unit Procedures } Mixing } Bulk Flow } pH Regulation

	Operating Mode	Continuous or Semi-Continuous
	Host Equip­ment	Custom Mixer
	Emissions Port (Vent)	No
	Special Input/Output Ports	Yes

This procedure can represents a pH adjusting scheme in continuous mode that mixes two bulk flow streams. The top stream has a fixed composition but an adjustable (calculated) flowrate.

Special Inputs / Outputs

●      Adjustable Inlet: the designated input port for the adjustable inlet stream.

Process Stream: the designated input port for the process stream.

Operations

The following operation types are currently supported in the context of this unit procedure:

●      pH Regulate, see pH Regulation (Continuous)

●      CIP, see Clean-In-Place (CIP)

●      Hold, see Holding

●      SIP, see Steam-In-Place (SIP)

Note that operations CIP, Hold, and SIP are only available in semi-continuous operating mode
