This unit procedure models the production of power and heat by steam expansion in an extraction steam turbine-generator.
● Inlet (High P): the designated input port for the high-pressure steam feed.
● Extraction 1: the designated output port for the first steam extraction.
● Extraction 2: the designated output port for the second steam extraction.
● Extraction 3: the designated output port for the third steam extraction.
● Outlet (Low P): the designated output port for the low-pressure steam exhaust.
The following operation types are currently supported in the context of this unit procedure:
● Expand, see Power Generation in a Steam Turbine-Generator
● CIP, see Clean-In-Place (CIP)
● Hold, see Holding
● SIP, see Steam-In-Place (SIP)
Note that operations CIP, Hold, and SIP are only available in semi-continuous operating mode.
The following procedures offer a similar functionality:
● Power Generation in a Straight Flow Steam Turbine-Generator Procedure
● Power Generation in a Gas Expander-Generator Procedure
