This is used to represent a continuous multi-effect evaporation operation that takes place in a multi-effect evaporator.

Special Inputs / Outputs

Feed: the designated input port for the initial dilute solution that is fed to the evaporator.

Vapor: the designated output port for evaporated solvent.

Condensed Vapor: the designated output port for the fraction of vapor that is condensed in case of vapor recompression or multi-effect evaporation.

Liquor: the designated output port for the concentrated solution.

Operations

The following operation types are currently supported in the context of this unit procedure:

      Evaporate, see Continuous Multi-Effect Evaporation

      CIP, see Clean-In-Place (CIP)

      Hold, see Holding

      SIP, see Steam-In-Place (SIP)

Note that operations CIP, Hold, and SIP are only available in semi-continuous operating mode.
