In Design Mode, the user specifies the Maximum Throughput and the model calculates the Number of Units, the Diameter, Length and Volume of the Holding Tube as well as the Heat Transfer Areas of the heat exchnagers of the pasteurizer (i.e., the heater, cooler and regenerator, if available). In Rating Mode, the user specifies the Number of Units, the Holding Tube Length and Diameter as well as the Heat Exchange Areas of the heater, cooler and regenerator (if available).
Equipment purchase cost is calculated as a combination of the Holding Tube’s volume and the total heat exchange area of the heat exchangers. It is supplied by the built-in model assuming as material of construction SS316.
