List of Labor Types Currently Used by the Process
LaborListDlg.jpg

This dialog appears when you select Tasks } Other Resources } Labor Types from the main menu of the application or Resources } Labor Types from the flowsheets’s command menu.

This list presents all labor resources that are currently in use by operations or sections in the process. Select a labor type (will show as a highlighted row) and then click the View/Edit Properties button (ViewEditProperties00117.jpg) at the top-right of the table or double click on the row. You will be presented with a dialog that allows you to edit the properties of the selected labor associated with the current process file. Clicking on the View Locations Used button (ViewLocationsUsed00118.jpg) will present you with a dialog which shows where exactly the selected Labor or Staff type is employed in the process. For more details, see Labor Type Properties Dialog and Locations where Labor Types are Used Dialog.

You will not be able to edit the data of labor or staff that are allocated (matched) to resources existing in a site selected from the site databank. If you do not agree with their values, then you have two choices:
(a) De-allocate the resources from their database counterparts (then you can edit their values), or
(b) Modify the values of their database counterparts (if you have permission) and then update the values of the allocated resources in this process file to reflect your changes.

It is possible that a labor type listed in this table, does NOT exist in your databank. Possibly it used to exist in your ‘SuperPro (User)’ database and it is now deleted, or you may be viewing a process model created by someone else and the original definition of that labor type exists in his/her ‘SuperPro (User)’ database. If that is the case, and you wish to keep a definition in your ‘SuperPro (User)’ database for future use in other projects, you can deposit the labor type in your databank (see Notes (e) below).

NOTES:

a)  Note that any changes will only affect the current process file calculations and they will not be reflected in the values stored in the ‘SuperPro (User)’ database or in any other process files that utilizes the same type of labor.

b)  You cannot explicitly add or delete labor types to this list. A new entry is automatically added in this list as soon as that labor type is engaged (for the first time) by an operation. It is also automatically deleted from this table, as soon as a labor type is no longer engaged in any operation in this process model. If you wish to introduce a new labor type to be used by your model, you should introduce the new labor type in your labor databank first, then engage it in your model (see Labor Types Databank).

c)   If you have modified the properties of a labor type and you wish to update its database record based on its current values, then click on the Update Record in DB button (UpdToDBBtn00121.jpg). This will make the record kept in the database identical to the values as it now exists in your process file. If the selected labor type does NOT exist in your labor databank, this button will be disabled. In order to keep a copy of this labor type in your databank, you must export its definition to the databank (see Note (e) below).

d)  If you have modified the properties of a labor type and you wish to reset its values to how they exist in your databank, then click on the Update Properties from DB Record button (UpdFromDBBtn00122.jpg). This will refresh the values of the object in the process file to match the values of the labor type as they exist in the database. If a record of this labor type does not exist in your databank, this button will be disabled.

e)  If a selected labor type does NOT exist in your databank (either it used to exist and later deleted, or it was never defined there as the process model was created by someone else), you can export and keep a definition of this labor type in your databank by clicking on the Export to DB button (ExportResToDBBtn00123.jpg). Please note that this button will be active, even if a labor type with that name already exists in your databank. In that case, you will get a chance to introduce a new record in the databank for this labor type, but under a different name. This option is useful if you have modified the properties of a labor type as they existed in the databank, and you wish to keep the modified version of the labor type as well as the original.
