Electrodialysis Procedure

Overview

An Electrodialysis Procedure can be created by selecting the following menu option:
Unit Procedures } Filtration } Electrodialysis

	Operating Mode	Batch/Semi-Continuous
	Host Equip­ment	Electrodialyzer
	Emissions Port (Vent)	No
	Special Input/Output Ports	Yes

This procedures simulates an electrodialysis unit. Electrodialysis is a process that separates an aqueous, electrolyte feed into a concentrate and a diluate stream by using an electric field and ion-selective membranes.

Special Inputs / Outputs

●      Concentrate: the designated input port for the concentrate.

●      Filtrate: the designated output port for the filtrate.
