Mixer-Settler Extraction Procedure

A Mixer-Settler Extractor is used to represent an equipment resource typically used to host a procedure with a main objective to carry out the mixing, settling and extraction of various products such as antibiotics. A mixer settler consists of a first stage that mixes the phases together followed by a quiescent settling stage that allows the phases to separate by gravity. The procedure can be executed in a batch or continuous mode.
