A Granular Media Filter is used to represent an equipment resource typically used to host a procedure with the main objective to remove suspended solids, oils and/or other contaminants in treated wastes before other treatment processes. The bed of the filter usually consists of more than one level of granular media. The procedure can be executed in batch or in continuous mode.

For information on the equipment data interface, see Granular Media Filter: Equipment Tab.
