Chromatography/Adsorption Equipment: Consumables tab

This tab is shown on the interface dialog of the following equipment types:

      Gel Filtration (GFL) Chromatography Column

      Packed Bed Adsorption (PBA) Chromatography Column

      Expanded Bed Adsorption (EBA) Chromatography Column

      Membrane Adsorber (MA)

Specification Choices / Comments

The top part of the interface refers to the equipment’s required consumable type and usage cost. The user can choose among consumables of the required type for this equipment registered in the system or user databanks. The required consumable type for each equipment considered is listed below:

For resins (or membranes) that may last several years, the user may decide to depreciate the first resin (or membrane) fill-in by checking the ‘Is First Resin capitalized’ (or ‘Is First Cartridge capitalized’) check box. Cost/usage related properties are available on the right side. The user can change the replacement frequency of the consumable through this tab. Other consumable properties can be changed from the Consumables Databank Dialog by selecting Databanks / Consumables from the main menu.

The bottom part of the dialog ‘Other Consumables’ table, refers to additional consumables and it is the same as for any other equipment (see Equipment Data Dialog: Consumables Tab).
