Specification Choices / Comments

The following list describes the available specification choices in this tab; for more details on how these are implemented, see Pull In: Modeling Calculations.

Chose whether the initial vapor contents (i.e. inert vapors) will be taken into account in the mass balance. Select one of the following mixing specifications:

Ratio (Added amount –to initial amount) :In this case you can specify either the mass ratio or the liquid volume ratio between the add-in stream and the initial contents. Furthermore you can ask the numerator of the ratio to be either the mass/volume of the add-in stream or just one (user-selected) component in the add-in stream. In the same spirit, the denominator used to calculate the specified ratio, may be either the total mass (or volume) of the initial contents or the mass (or volume) of a specific (user-selected) component initially present in the vessel.

Final Amount - either the Final Mass or the Final Liquid-Solid Volume

A reference component and either its final Concentration or its final Mass Percentage

Final Temperature: Specify the desired final temperature of the contents of the after the material has been pulled in.

The model will set the pull-in amount of the adjustable mix-inlet stream (top stream) in order to meet the specification set by the user. If the specification cannot be met, then a warning message will be displayed during simulation.
