The following list describes the available specification choices in this tab; for more details on how these are implemented, see Column Elution: Modeling Calculations.
•Eluant Volume Options...
You can either specify the eluant’s absolute or relative volume (per batch cycle and per equipment unit). Any variable that is not specified will be calculated by the program.
•Elution Time Options...
The elution time can be either set by the user or calculated by the program based on the eluant flowrate.
•Eluant Flowrate Options...
If the elution time is calculated, you can choose among three different options for specifying the eluant flowrate: you can specify the eluant’s linear velocity, or its volumetric flowrate, or its relative flowrate (in bed volumes) in the bed. Any variable that is not specified will be calculated by the program.
