Pure Component Properties Dialog: Economics Tab

ComponentsEconomicsPP.jpg

This tab is part of the Pure Component Properties Dialog.

Material Basis

The component consumption basis can be on a per-mass or per-volume basis. This choice should also be directly affecting the unit purchase (or selling) price and/or the waste treatment (or disposal) cost. For instance, if you specify that a given ingredient should calculate and display its consumption on charts on a per-mass basis, it only make sense to have its price supplied on a per-mass basis as well. Even though SuperPro will not enforce that consistency, users should make sure that it applies. The choice on this dialog, will affect the units that will be shown when selecting to view the consumption of the material on Material Consumption & Material Output Charts.

Selling Price [$/kg]

Used in economic calculations.

Purchasing Price [$/kg]

Used in economic calculations.

Waste Treatment Cost [$/kg]

Used to estimate the waste treatment/disposal cost of a waste stream based on its composition; if you do not provide a direct cost for waste treatment/disposal of the entire stream on a per-kg-mixture-basis, a cost is estimated based on the contribution to the cost of each component present.

Supplier

Used to include Supplier information.
