Overview

A 2-Way Flow Splitting (Bulk Flow) Procedure can be created by selecting the following menu option:
Unit Procedures } Splitting } Bulk Flow } 2-Way

Operating Mode

Continuous or Semi-Continuous

Host Equipment

Flow Splitter

Emissions Port (Vent)

No

Special Input/Output Ports

No

 

 

This procedure can represent any scheme that splits two bulk flow streams, and cannot be modeled (or is not necessary to be modeled) in more detail.

Special Inputs / Outputs

None.

Operations

The following operation types are currently supported in the context of this unit procedure:

      Split, see 2-Way Flow Splitting

      CIP, see Clean-In-Place (CIP)

      Hold, see Holding

      SIP, see Steam-In-Place (SIP)

Note that operations CIP, Hold, and SIP are only available in semi-continuous operating mode.
