Note that due to the manner by which the variables are used by the sizing and costing equations, the range of acceptable values may be further reduced.

Sizing

In Calculate (Design Mode), the user specifies the Maximum Filter Area and the system computes the Number of Units and the Filter Area.

In User-Defined (Rating Mode), the user specifies the Number of Units and the Filter Area.

Costing

The equipment purchase cost is based on the costing filter area. Averaged data from vendors were used to estimate the purchase cost of nutsche filters. Material cost factors for SS316 and Hastelloy are available.
